EPA CDR Webinars

EPA now refers to the Inventory Update Reporting (IUR) rule as the Chemical Data Reporting (CDR) Rule. This change was effective with the publication of the Inventory Update Reporting Modifications,  Chemical Data Reporting Final Rule, in August 2011. EPA has hosted webinars to assist industry stakeholders with the changes to the reporting process for the 2012 CDR rule.

These presentations and other important information can be found on EPA's CDR website.

Webinar to Assist Industry in Reporting for 2012 CDR Rule
EPA hosted a webinar to assist industry with the reporting process for the 2012 Chemical Data Reporting (CDR) rule on Wednesday, November 16, 2011. The webinar was intended for industry stakeholders who will be reporting in response to the CDR requirements. The webinar included an overview of the 2012 reporting requirements, a discussion of joint reporting, a discussion of considerations related to the reporting of by-products and updated information about registering for electronic reporting and for using the electronic reporting tool. At the conclusion of the presentation participants were able to phone in with questions concerning the rule.

Reporting Electronically
EPA hosted a webinar to demonstrate the e-CDR web tool on Friday September 23, 2011. The webinar introduced Industry stakeholders to e-CDRweb in preparation for the preview period. NOTE: the opportunity to test the reporting tool is now closed but EPA will post the recorded webinar and associated questions and answers to this website in the near future.

When is Reporting Required?
The next submission period is from February 1, 2012, to June 30, 2012. Manufacturers, including importers, are required to report information on chemicals manufactured (including imported) in volumes of 25,000 lb or more at their site during calendar year 2011.
